Twins Days

This weekend Twinsburg will welcome many visitors from near and far.  The Twins Days Festival and elements of our community will be featured in the media.

Since 1976 the first weekend in August is a special weekend in Twinsburg. Twins Days is something that makes our community special.

The “DOUBLE TAKE” Parade is my favorite weekend activity. Others enjoy cooking hotdogs for the Twins, the golf outing or going to the Festival.

I encourage everyone to enjoy this weekend. Welcome the twins, multiples and other visitors to our city. Get out and explore a part of Twinsburg that might be new to you.

Throughout the year Twinsburg has some Twins-centric offerings like Twinsburg’s Catholic Church, Saints Cosmos and Damian Parish.  The twin saints who are celebrated as the patron saints of twins.

Arron and Moses and Twins Burgers by Mavis Winkles both pay homage to Twinsburg with Twin inspired burgers.

I believe a stronger synergy associated with Twins Days can be achieved by businesses, governments and community entities can be achieved through efforts to embrace the uniqueness of Twins.

I’ve seen how a city can capitalize on their uniqueness, on a summertime visit to the home of Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Pennsylvania.  Groundhog theming, referencing the the February 2nd weather prediction and iconic film is seen and felt throughout the town.

There is a missed opportunity because we are to not celebrating Twins Days everyday in Twinsburg.
