On December 1, 2023 Judge Lisa Coates administered the oath of office.

Activities:

  • Attended to Winter Wonderland and Light the Night Holiday events. Attended the School District’s Black History Month program and the Chamber of Commerce’s Community Expo event.

  • Board, Commission and Committee Assignments:

  • Board of Building Zoning and Appeals

  • Public Works Committee

  • Safety Committee

  • I experienced the professionalism of city staff as I completed HR and pay related paperwork, IT equipment and access and more.

  • As a new member of City Council I’m taking steps to get a better understanding of City operations by meeting with Department Heads and their team.

  • I travelled to Columbus to attend the Ohio Municipal League’s Newly Elected Council Member Seminar.  The agenda included topics like Home Rule, Finance, Economic Development and Liability.  A highlight of this conference was the opportunity to network with peers from across the state and had extensive conversations with council members from Marysville, Sandusky, Cleveland Heights and Pickerington
