Quarterly Update - Year in review
Accomplishment and activities that I took part in:
It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since being sworn into office. As the calendar advances into 2025 I look forward to building on the successes of 2024.
I’m committed to responding to resident’s concerns.
Ward Rounding- throughout my tenure on council I’ve conducted monthly rounding of every street in the Ward on foot, bike or in a car. This rounding has helped identify issues in Ward One.
I’ve reported street lights out, water leaks, signage concerns, sidewalk/pavement issues and other mare to appropriate departments within the city. Some of these issues have been resolved and others are ongoing. I’ll continued to follow up to ensure issues are solved and remain committed to continuing the rounding practice. Ward One Resource Day.
During 2024 I was assigned to the Board of Building Zoning and Appeals, Public Works Committee and Safety Committee. To get acclimated as a new member of city council addition to my assigned committees I also attended at least one meeting of every Board, Commission or Committee in 2024 I also met with every department head and many of their staff. For 2025 I’m assigned to the Parks and Recreation Commission, Public Works Committee and the Finance Committee.
Looking forward:

Snow Removal:
To ensure safe travel, the City prioritizes plowing main roads, bridges, hills, and secondary main roads. These areas must be kept passable to maintain a reliable transportation network. Once these key routes are cleared residential side streets are addressed.
While snow left in driveway aprons can be frustrating result of keeping roads clear for everyone, snow should not be pushed, shoveled or blown from private property onto public streets.
Senior Driveways
Driveways for residents enrolled in the Senior Snowplow Program are plowed when snow accumulation reaches approximately 3 inches or more. Streets and highways throughout the City are prioritized before senior driveways are plowed. Additionally, snowplowing under this program is limited to one visit per 24-hour period. For more information about this service, please contact the Snowplow Hotline at 330-963-8703.
